Abstract
This study experimentally examined the reduction of flow pulsation in two similar external gear pumps operating at motor speeds between 10 and 50 RPM. The pumps were configured in parallel, both with and without pressure closed-loop servo control, to evaluate its effect on flow pulsation. The results indicated that as the motor speed increased, flow pulsation decreased. Furthermore, it was established that the integration of pressure closed-loop servo control and the parallel arrangement had a significant impact on reducing flow pulsation. Specifically, when the pumps were connected in parallel without the pressure closed-loop control, the pulsation decreased by approximately 26%, whereas with the control implemented, the reduction improved to about 63%.
