The medical sector is undergoing an unprecedented revolution due to the rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This paper explores pivotal advancements driven by AI in early disease diagnosis, personalized medicine, drug discovery acceleration, and robotic surgery. It also addresses critical challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, system transparency, and clinician acceptance. Through a systematic review of recent literature (2020–2025), the study highlights AI’s transformative potential to enhance healthcare efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes. However, ethical, regulatory, and operational hurdles must be resolved to ensure equitable and responsible AI deployment. The paper concludes by advocating for a collaborative human-AI framework, where technology augments—rather than replaces—medical expertise, fostering a future of precise, accessible, and human-centric healthcare.
